In response to the open call from November 12 to January 6, the working group responsible for assessing projects selected these 5 projects selected from more than 150 received. These projects have the financial support of MAV (up to 3,000 euros per project). Other 3 projects have been placed in reserve and awaiting other support and sources of funding.
The workgroup in charge of project evaluation comprised Montse Badía, art critic and curator, and Santiago Olmo, director of CGAC, as external experts; two representatives from the MAV Board: Encarna Lago and María José Magaña; and two members selected by drawing lots: Yvonne Brochard and Petra Pérez.
The call for proposals was open to natural persons; women, members of MAV or not, and men; and to legal persons whose corporate or associative purpose is the production of cultural works; from any nationality, and whose approach respects a code of fair practice in terms of remuneration, copyright issues, a 60% presence of women in the team, and who work in a collaborative network structure. Institutions engaged in the selling of art works were expressly excluded from this call for proposals
The scoring system used in the selection process was based on the following:
1. Social impact and feminist commitment. 25%
2. Connectivity, networking and fair practice. 15%
3. Interdisciplinarity and innovation. 5%
4. Sustainability, proposal quality, and long and short-term project impact. 15%
5. Experience of the team and participants.10%
6. Having a public space in which to exhibit the project with closed dates throughout 2016, in or outside Spain. 15%
7. Having funding sources to support the project's viability, through sponsoring or in kind, etc. 15%
