Present Imperfect, Future Tense takes its viewers underwater to demonstrate the two major environmental problems affecting our oceans and, consequently, all life on earth: plastic waste and rising sea levels.Visual artist and photographer Susana Sanromán recreates hypothetical scenarios of near-future realities to increase awareness that oceans are the lifeblood of not only the planet but of humankind.

The exhibition reflects on the importance of water for all animals. We as humans are comprised of around 60% water, the planet is 3/4th water, and in the quest for a habitable planet, water is essential "

The images recreate hypothetical scenarios of near-future realities. These fictitious narratives are based on statistical projections of the effects of climate change.

Susana Sanromán's work will be exhibited at the Leica Store City from 15th November- 11th January, Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm.
