Biennial
Visual Arts
Women's Views Biennial 2016 arises with hope, strength, and renewed spirits to show the creative potential of women and the marks it leaves on our state's art system and internationally.
From March to December 2016, the Women's Views Biennial will bring together initiatives that make women and gender issues a source for reflection, debate and creation.
To promote the idea that gender diversity, like cultural diversity, fosters -rather than conflicts with - excellence in the fields of art, culture and education.
To raise public awareness and promote egalitarian values within the fields of education and culture.
To establish links and partnerships with institutions, associations and collectives, which share our egalitarian criteria.
To set up a support and dissemination network of activities carried-out from a gender perspective in the field of visual arts, thus lending them a greater visibility and effectiveness.
To become a reflection forum in the fields of feminisms, gender and visual arts.
To collect and channel the many initiatives and suggestions, raised by either individuals or collectives in relation to the above-mentioned fields.
To support the aims of real and effective gender equality in all of the fields related to visual arts, whether public or private.
To show the full potential of female creativity.
To foster and develop women's empowerment in the fields of culture and education.
