This section of the Biennial brings together the proposals selected from the projects received in the four open calls for artists, curators, researchers and groups throughout 2020.
The evaluation committees, composed of professionals from the visual arts and gender studies, were given the responsibility for selecting the projects that MAV is supporting with production grants.
This section encompasses projects, exhibitions and activities that focus on the visibility of women in the visual arts from a feminist perspective and take into account social returns and fair practice.
Institutions, museums, foundations, cultural centres, galleries as well as educational and cultural spaces from all over the world are invited to join this initiative to take part in the Biennial programme, pending assessment by the MAV board of directors.
MAV, the Association of Women in the Visual Arts, is a group of professionals related to the visual arts field in Spain who work to improve the visibility and equal rights of women in our society, and more specifically in the field of visual arts.
