The Biennial Call for Visual Arts "mulier, mulieris" is part of the event program organized by the University of Alicante to commemorate International Women's Day. This call highlights how contemporary artistic creation has become a fertile ground for research that rescues the legacy of women, makes visible the constant and complex process of transformation of feminine identity, and addresses various concepts related to gender.
Facilitating reflection, questioning, or the recovery of memory are some of the objectives pursued by this multidisciplinary and internationally focused artistic call. "Mulier, mulieris" is open to artists of any gender, age, and nationality committed to creating new feminine imaginaries.
